PhimiLab (Physics-Informed Machine Intelligence Laboratory) is a small research group founded and led by me, in collaboration with Prof. Em. G. N. Throumoulopoulos (University of Ioannina) and former students from the Democritus University of Thrace. Our research lies at the intersection of machine learning and physics, focusing on the development of ML-based solvers for real scientific problems, with a particular emphasis on fusion plasma physics.
Our Research Group currently consists of the following members:
Dr. Dimitrios Kaltsas (founder and coordinator)
Prof. Em. George Throumoulopoulos
Dr. Apostolos Kuiroukidis
Mr. Konstantinos Kaloci
Mr. Michael Laganis-Sekeris
Ms. Argyro Tserkezi
PhimiLab has been involved in the following projects:
"Multi-soliton solutions and data-driven discovery of higher-order Burgers’ hierarchy equations with physics informed neural networks", https://doi.org/10.1016/j.chaos.2025.116224
"Constrained Hamiltonian systems and physics-informed neural networks: Hamilton-Dirac neural networks", https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevE.111.025301
